Black Roses Red AmeriPanAmerica sat in his bedroom, alone. He liked it better when he was alone, he had time to think, to reflect on current situations. It was the end of the World War, and he ached. He was stationed in Germany, and after things had begun to die down, he was told that he could go back to America. That's where he wanted to be more than anything. He missed everyone there, friends, family. But there was one person that he wanted to see the most: His mother. He missed her so much, he promised her that he'd be home alive and well. Well, at least he could keep that promise, right? But, the American wouldn't be leaving to his country alone. No, he would be taking one other person with him. A small, frail man, who didn't like to speak his mind. Yes, the man was very shy, but America loved that about him. He didn't want to admit it, but his heart sang whenever he heard his name. Kiku Honda. Yes, he knew that it was wrong, and yes, he knew that his mother would not approve, but at that particular momenBlack Roses Red AmeriPan by SylasCyanide145
APH: Free, Like An EagleHe had this sort of innocence that just danced around him. His wide, chocolate eyes were blank, his perfectly unblemished, porcelain skin always at an unreadable expression. There was nothing dark or sinister about the man, nothing that he showed, simply a mystery to. Something he was hiding from the world, something he didn't want to show. Secretive, but innocent. His expressionless eyes always looked so innocent.APH: Free, Like An Eagle by KaguraxxSesshomaru
Walking down the cobble stone streets, his heels clicked with every step, his dark cape billowing around him. He would've completely blended into the shadows, be it not for his radiating paleness, be it not for his slender fingers peeking out from the long sleeves of his coat, whipping against the shadows as he click-clicked abnormally fast. In a hurry to get somewhere, or absolutely nowhere at all.
When he entered the bar, no heads turned in his direction, or to the windows which rain conven
Prince Alfred, The MisledAt the very beginning of most fairy tales one often says "once upon a time." The saying of this, of course indicates that the story the speaker is about to tell is probably a children's tale, being entirely fictional and more often than not, utterly boring. This tale, though technically classified as one of these fairy tales and will indeed start with the phrase "once upon a time", is completely true. It is the only guaranteed exception to the rule.Prince Alfred, The Misled by RS-Kyra
~ * ~
Once upon a time, in a kingdom tucked away within far off, exotic lands, amongst a minefield of mountains and a perilous scattering of thick forests, stood a tall, stone tower. It exceeded the heights of the trees around enormously and was pigmented darker than the continually-starless night sky. It's looming appearance alone forbade travelers from even allowing their thoughts to wander anywhere near it. This, obviously, contributed to the loneliness of the tower's only resident, a typically, trapped-by-the-book and formerly-royal dam

The blond's head snapped up, hastily shoving his cell phone into the kangaroo pocket of his hooded pullover. He had been blatantly texting rather than paying attention, obvious from his guilt-ridden expression and wide cerulean eyes. When his teacher was lacking the "way too cheerful to be happy" face, he visibly relaxed. Mr. Braginsky only had his regular creepy smile, meaning he most likely was not in trouble. Adjusting his glasses, he sauntered to the front of the room by means of an aisle between two rows of desks. While Algebra II was by no means his most confident class (as you all already know), football and baseball star Alfred F. Jones--the "Jones" came from his football team when another player compared him to Thomas Jones, fellow running back--would show no fear, even in the face of math and his creepy Russian teacher!
"The guidance office has called you. Try not to miss too much of class; j
Another High School Romance 1"Bloody--Alfred, what is this 'D' on your report card for?" When there was no reply, the British man turned from his position at the stove to his son sitting at the counter just behind him. His thick brows furrowed disapprovingly as he discovered the sixteen-year-old fixated on some sort of electronic in his hands. The order was to no avail; his son refused to respond. He was ready to box the boy about the ears until he noticed thin white cords cascading from inside Alfred's hoodie. Arthur cursed technology under his breath and stomped to the opposite side of the island, reached across, and tore the earbuds out. In an attempt to intimidate the teen, his sharp green glare bored into his sons' pretty blues.
The man couldn't help but be reminded of his ex-wife every time he simply looked at Alfred. He'd received his somewhat unruly hair from h
APH - Baby Blues .:Chapter 1:.Alfred leaned back in the chair he was assigned during world meetings. He looked around, feeling alone from being so early. The only other country present was Japan, and he was on the far other side, sitting quietly and waiting for the others. He briefly wondered if he should try to mingle with Japan, but decided against it, seeing the blank stare he possessed, obviously deep in thought. Last time he snuck up on him, he's nearly been cut up into little pieces by his Kantana.APH - Baby Blues .:Chapter 1:. by WolfieStarr
So he called to him from across the room: "Hey, Kiku!"
Kiku's head snapped up, appalled. "America! You know it's rude to refer to someone's name during a meeting, only refer to them as their countries, baka!"
Alfred looked hurt. "But Ki- I mean Japan, aren't you bored?"
"No, I'm used to waiting." he simply replied, staring down at the ground again. Alfred frowned slightly, standing up from his chair. Japan's eyes flickered towards him, following his movement as he approached him. "Can I help you America-san?"
APH - Baby Blues .:Chapter 2:.Kiku stared at America, watching as he slept during the long meeting. He couldn't help but yawn himself, it was boring listening to adults talking. For some reason, he felt a kinship to Alfred, one he couldn't understand. When he tried remembering how and why, he whined slightly, causing his head to hurt. His memory was like a giant haze, one he couldn't get through.APH - Baby Blues .:Chapter 2:. by WolfieStarr
Shaking his head, Kiku leaned forward, his small pudgy hands gripping the table tightly as he peered over the edge, his knees shaking slightly on the unsteady surface of Alfred's lap. He frowned slightly, no one seemed to be paying attention to him anymore. Nothing fun to do was nearby, adult things all around. Business never mixed with a bored toddler.
Suddenly his chocolate eyes flickered towards Yao Wang. His pony tail bounced as he talked and turned his head, and suddenly he was mesmerized. For a reason he couldn't comprehend, he wanted to pull on the pony tail with all his might. He knew that he shouldn't but he could
APH: Baby Blues .:Chapter 3:."So, um what's up?" Alfred grinned at little Kiku, unlocking the door to his home. Kiku merely blinked nervously, looking around at the American's front lawn. He had an urge to go run and play in the clean grass, but last time he went with his instincts, Alfred had called him a 'very bad boy'. He didn't want to be a bad boy.APH: Baby Blues .:Chapter 3:. by WolfieStarr
Alfred noticed, blinking at him. Then he smirked, chuckling slightly. "You wanna play a game buddy?"
Kiku snapped his head up. "Wha-What?"
"You know, a game! Just play around in the grass?" Alfred laughed. "Fool around for a bit, wrestle, something like that!"
"Baka." Kiku snorted, crossing his arms. Alfred groaned, then smirked and sprinted towards him, scooping him up as he did. Kiku squealed, but started laughing when the taller male pinned him down, and started tickling him. Alfred was grinning, wrestling him around carefully, remembering Arthur's words: a child is much more fragile than an adult.
"St-Stop it!" the boy giggled, kicking him in the stomach t

Soren waited idly by the water fountain behind some very sweaty kids, licking his lips thirstily and ignoring his revulsion at having to share his water with a bunch of squealing freshman. He glanced around, trying to find something to distract himself at the prospect of wiping off the spit accumulated at the spout, when he spotted a familiar figure a few dozen yards away.
It was Link, dressed in a long white undershirt, which was in turn covered by a grass green t-shirt, along with light beige pants and brown ankle high boots. Soren secretly bit his bottom lip at the sight of the handsome blonde youth. But then he looked closer. What was he doing, crouched behind those bushes? And was that his slingshot? That was an odd thing for him to carry around during breaktime...
Too late, Soren realized what was happening. Slowly, Link reached for a stone on the ground, fitted it into the slingshot, and took aim. Generally, at this point Soren tried to look away

Link plunked himself down next to Soren as Alfred and Kiku took their places on the other side of the booth. The restaurant wasn't particularly fancy, but it was a popular place for teens and hence was always crowded. The seat cushions were patterned burgundy and gold and were surprisingly comfy. The golden haired youth leaned back and placed his hands behind his head.
It was a perfect summery evening. The air was at that beautiful midway point of being warm and breezy, the kind of temperature that makes you feel energized and wonderful. The night felt like it could last forever.
Soren poked his unguarded ribs with a pointy finger."What are you gonna order, hun?" he asked. With a sigh, Link opened the plastic menu. Fish and chips, steak, burgers, hotdogs, soups, salads, sides... so much to choose from! The waitress swung by to take their drink order: sodas for all. As she left, she smiled brightly at Link, and then at Alfred. Both boy

It took half an hour for the four boys to get to the mall. Link stumbled off the bus, followed closely by a hissing and spitting Soren. "What the hell were you thinking?" he was snarling at the other boy. "That guy was three times your size! Why did you have to go and provoke him?" "I didn't like his face." Link replied, and rather nonchalantly at that.
Soren's face went an even paler shade of white, and he stared at Link in disbelief. "You did it because you didn't like the way he looks?" "Oh man, Link, even for you that's just, just..." Alfred giggled as he stepped off the bus, followed by Kiku. After a moment, he found the word: "Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. And yet... completely awesome! Dude, you should be, like, a superhero or something!" Soren glared as Link smirked and said "Thanks, Alfred."
Before Soren could say anything, Kiku cut in. In his usual way, his quiet voice drifted into recognition. "Perhaps he is right, Soren-kun. I have seen t
